View Full Version : How much are YOU willing to pay to see VH?

Madonna was asking up to $375 a ticket for her 2006 tour. How much are you willing to spend for VH?

Front row: $250 range
Middle of the road: $175
Nose bleed: $100

(I'm just speculating, but these guys are in it for the cash so expect to see outrageous prices).

I would like to get in the best section possible and have already figured I'd be willing to spend $150 $175 a ticket to do so, but may be willing to go a little higher. It's crazy and I've never spent that much on a ticket but this will never happen again.

No, I didn't. But her ticket prices along with the Eagle's, Prince and the like have been very high. I'm just wondering what VH will settle on. No doubt they will emphasize that original VH hasn't played in over 20 years...and could be the last time.

In the UK?

I'd pay what it takes, but I couldn't imagine tickets being more that £50

I was all set to get Crue reunion tix a couple years back and I thought: $73.50? Hell no! I'll at least go on record and say Dave & Ed can have my 73.50. Might even double it on a weak day.

I remember seeing these guys when tickets were $7.50, and it was festival seating: only sit where and what you can defend. :-)

Given that and the fact that I've seen original VH at least five times and DLR twice, I'm not willing to toss out a lot of cash. Seriously...$75 tops, and they'd have to be some fucking awesome seats. I have a feeling though they'll be much more than that just for the nose bleed.

This sounds reasonable. I do think they will be asking more, much more for front row.

About 1/2 a mortgage payment per ticket is what I'm putting back.

Fucking ticket brokers have ruined it for everybody. Now instead of waiting in line to buy front-row tix, the greedy bastards have sister companies buying up all the good seats and jacking up the price 2 or 3 X what it should be. Legal scalping.:(

im one of those whack-offs who can now tend to afford to pay for what i couldnt when i was younger.
So now, i dont go to alot of concerts..in fact rarely anymore. I will go see Genesis..never got to see them..
But for my favorite band, i'll go as high as i can to get the best i can.

im thinking up to $400 for front row, each(get 2 tix)..although when in 2004 i called a broker, they wanted $750 for front rows.. and that is just too much..luckily i got a ring tix on ed's side for $175..

So i guess up to $400 ea. for front 5 rows and center ..but i have a sick feeling im gonna be paying that just to be 1st level

If I even attend I will not pay an outrageous amount of money.

I've seen Dave & Ed before and this won't be the 70's or 80's revisited that's for sure.

You can get a discount by wiring the money directly to Eddies swiss bank account.

This applies to merch also: t-shirts, programs, VH cups....

Don't forget about the backstage packages they had during the '04 fiasco....

I'm sure they'll do it again..

I believe those were going for between 300-400 clams, for a seat in the front, attending the sound check, going backstage, food/drinks, souvenirs/autographs, and meeting the band....

I think there was a plan for less money that did not include meeting the band (unless you got lucky and they had room), but had a front 10 row seat....

Air. That's what I'm willing to pay. Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe to ask for free tickets.

yeah, wouldn't it be something if VH took pity on us for waiting 23 years and they decided to pull an "OZZY" and give it to us "FREE" ?

I paid $100 to for nosebleed seats when the Rolling Stones played at PNC Park. I hope to pay no more than $100 for a "great" seat for the upcoming Van Halen tour. With the Van Hagar tour doing mediocre business at best, I don't see how they could charge "Madonna" prices for tickets. They'll make their money on merchandise. Fuck I paid $35 for a Stones t-shirt.

I'll just remember where all the good times have really gone.....
They're somewhere back in the 1980's....

And then I'll put on the rented DVD from this tour, and hope that they give me more than 1 fucking "MTV" camera angle to view this in.

And then I'll skip past all of the covers and commercial hits, and play the 2 or 3 or 4 songs that really rock.

And tha'll be it.

Then I'll put a CDR of what really rocks from CVH on shuffle/repeat, and dream a dream.....
