334 US servicemen have been killed between October and January of 2006-2007, more than any other four month period of the war... (NBC News)

WTF?!?!?!?!

They're refusing to debate the non-binding resolution condemning of Bush's "surge."

How pathetic is it to BLOCK DEBATE of a resolution that means NOTHING

Can't imagine why tjhe REPUKE led congress of the last 6 years got nothing done.....except line their pockets.

Neo-Con Shitbags can go to hell.

Where is the "up or down vote" now, bitches?

It's non-binding. What are they afraid of?

So put more in that situation?

Will 22K troops really end that predicament, which is mostly really, really bad tactical use of US forces?

I already posted my take on this somewhere else.

In short, the new strategy will be more effective than just "staying the course".

Maybe, maybe not...

But why frame it as if those are the only 2 choices?

Stay the Course and Surge?

How about Redeploy and Live?

Ok, call it what you want.Sit on your hands and wait for the ISF to handle it alone-stay the course.
Or, improve your chances of getting out by reinforcing your elements, coordinating with the ISF and becoming proactive-Redeploy and leave.

I don't think so at all. I've always been a proponent of MORE troops in the theater from day 1. Think of how quickly security and ISF/IP training could have been. It's highly possible BushCo wouldn't have had an excuse to stay there for this long.
