Stay tuned folks!

Following in the footsteps of past Ozzy Bassists like Bob Daisley,Rudy Sarzo,Mike Inez, Robert Trujillo and Jason Newsted might be MAD ANTHONY himslef.

Rumour has it that Sharon Osbourne has been in contact with Anthony about the possibilty of having him join Ozzy's summer tour.

Mikes vocals would definitley be an asset for the struggling Ozzy who just cant sing like he used too anymore.

Furthermore there is also talk of redoing the bass and drum tracks on the Bark At The Moon album and Mike might be asked to lend a hand in these recordings.

Then who will Gaygar knob? Will this cause an Ozzy vs Gaygar feud?

Don't fuck with Ozzy Gaygar, he snorted ants. Then there is the story of Ozzy smearing shit all over Vince Neil's bathroom wall.

Can you imagine Mikey with his famous mullet in jeans & T-Shirt trying to look cool playing with Zakk Wylde & The Ozz-man??? that would be too funny!

Congrats to Mikey...Sounds like this might be more of a success than replacing him with a 15yr old in VAN HALEN...

First off, Sharon Osbourne needs to mentally incapacitated, yes I am not syaing kill her but make it impossible so that she can no longer make these CUNT decisions to FUCK over the previous performers and WRITERS of Ozzy's earlier albums.

If Mike plays for Ozzy then kool for him.

What's next...Sammy is the new singer of Alice In Chains? I find this hard to believe. If so, then good for MA. Doubt it though. I really don't think MA is a blip on Sharon's radar.

Oh Fuck No!! Layne is rolling in the grave hearing anyone suggest Spam could front Alice In Chains. He already ruined one great band. The sad thing is, Spam is friends with Jerry.

I doubt Bassplayer will play in Ozzy's band. Ozzy only works with bass players who can write songs for him (i.e Geezer Butler & Bob Daisley)

As for what Sharon the Cunt is doing, it's sickening.

It's absolutely CRIMINAL that between her and DuBrow, you can't buy ANY original recordings of Randy Rhoads anywhere on this planet anymore. I'd like to see the Rhoads estate put together a box set of everything Randy ever recorded, with absolutely NO input from DuBrow or Sharon, restoring all the original Quiet Riot recordings as well as the original "Blizzard" and "Diary". Maybe even the original live tapes that the "Tribute" album was made from without Ozzy's 100% studio overdubbed vocals.

Doubt it will happen, but it's a nice dream. :(

Hagar and Jerry Cantrell are friends, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

They would have to change the name though. Maybe "Alice in Cheese"?

I know, fuck, and it must kill Zakk too, because he's apparently RR's biggest fan. if I was him, I'd smash that cunt's face in.

Christ, they could stop the presses on the Bark At The Moon and it would be no loss. That album sucked.

Not saying is terrible, but he hardly stands up the muscians who've played with Ozzy over the years does he?

Of course he does...

Well, I'm no bass or guitar player so please correct me if I'm wrong.

Are you guys saying that Mike can play bass as well as:

Rob Trujilo
Jason Newstead
Geezer Butler
Bob Daisey

Is he in that league?

Hardrock69
02-16-2007, 12:47 PM
Actually I dunno. Those guys play some seriously complex shit, while VH does not require anyone who can play above and beyond yer average bassplayer.

bueno bob
02-16-2007, 12:48 PM
Well, if Ed wants to take credit for all the music, then he can also take credit for writing average basslines, so far as I'm concerned...

Just the way I see it.

I have no doubt that Michael could play their bass lines.

They aren't exactly virtuosos, anyway.

MA would be a great fit for Ozzy - and if the rumors of Zakk Wylde having a prominent role in the songwriting on Ozzy's upcoming release are true; I can see MA's harmonies being a big part of the mix. Actually, I think he would be a great fit.

As far as his bassplaying goes; he most certainly wouldn't have a problem playing Ozzy's back catalogue on tour if it were to happen. SOme people make it sound like the man doesn't know how to play his instrument which is ridiculous.

No worries.

Van Halen's music wasn't designed for the bass guitar to be anything more than a backing instrument - occasionally, there were some counterpoints in the bass and guitar parts (case in point - "Light up the sky")

Of course, thats certain to change with Van Hanson, if they put out new music - I can already hear unison riffs composed just to show everyone that Amadeus can hang with Porno Daddy...

Nope nope nope. Mikey and Dave will get back together in a year for the next "Making The Band" and come out with a kick ass new band that will make millions while Ed's rock hard liver is used in my garden as a stepping stone.

This will be all followed by Sam getting jealous and trying out for the "Rock Star" lead singer and failing miserably.

This is a bunch of bullshit. Mike just doesnt fit the image for Ozzy's band.

I can't think of one Ozzy/Black abbath song that uses just the open E-String.

Bassplayer couldn't hold down the bottom end for Ozzy. Take out the trash, clean the toilets, wash the cars...bassplayer is your man. Playing "No More Tears", ""Suicide Soloution", or "Black Sabbath"...he's in over his head.

He'd take "Fairies Wear Boots" literally and show up with Spammy! Yeah, Ozzy tunes sung by Spammy...sure Sharon, people will be lining up to see that one! When Black Sabbath is done with Dio, maybe they'll hire Spammy, fire Geezer and hire bassplayer.

Far me it for me to begrudge MA finding steady work, but I just don't see it happening. I don't doubt he could handle it, but I see hot sauce marketing and pissing on the Alamo as two worlds that shouldn't collide. :D

Funny thing is even the overdubbed vocals suck ass. I only even listen to that record for Randy... he still blows me away.
