one of the best movies i've seen in a while. sick cast: damon, wahlberg, dicaprio, nickolson, sheen.....legendary. if you like crime movies watch it, it's so well writtin. only thing i didn't like was how it ended...but the other 2-somethin hours were amazing. go buy it right now.

Why didn`t you like the end?

I don`t want to post any spoilers but there were plenty of bits that made the Cinema goers jump near the end, and although it wasn`t quite what I was expecting, I went home having enjoyed a good film.

well i just thought that they could've spent like 10 more minutes and just solved the case, but isntead they just decided to end it that way. i love the movie but i would've ended it different.

The ending was a little confusing.

When I got home I did what I always do in a situation like that and read the forum on IMDB.

it raped the competition. because it's just that good.

it was ok, i liked it but in my opinion it wont go down in history as a classic. Slow year in good movies. My favorite movie of the year was a small independent movie called Brick. it was awesome. the ending of departed i didnt like, and was Jack Nicholson supposed to be Irish? his accent was too off and on

yeah the ending...i think that is almost the single reason why it may not be looked at as as much of a classic as it could have been when people will look back on it. jack's accent wasn't spot-on but i really thought all of the acting was quite good. easily the best film of the year though is casino royale i'd say.....to be honest i don't know what can compare to that it's just downright magnificent
