I’ve been following the Van Halen reunion circus because, well it would be interesting to see them live. BUT, then I haven’t been able to neglect the behaviors of the Van Halen brothers in recent years either. Their behavior have nearly killed the status which Van Halen has meant to me. A lovely memory of great Rock’n’roll during 20 years. Ok, gossip is gossip, but still when trying to take all the credit for themselves, as the most recent outburst, see this link .. So I don’t know if I would like to see a reunion with Dave and the crazy brothers anymore. There is a legend being destroyed!!
I have the videos and the great memory when Dave rocked the world with Van Halen.
Then another thing. I know most people at this forum doesn’t like Sammy. Maybe Dave and he doesn’t get along?(it’s showbiz also…) But, I think he deserves a little credit for making decent music for himself and with the Van Halen brothers (and Michael). I like the records and play them a lot. Just have to point that I also think Dave showed with Eat Em and Smile that HE IS GOOD!!! So that fight is pointless….
.. BUT TO THE POINT, if some fight occurs between them at the award they just will look like totally immature people who are like kindergarten kids in old men’s bodies. Their reputation as brilliant showmen/musicians will be weakened, because most people nowdays doesn’t now the background.
