My clock-radio went off this morning just in time to hear them play the news.

"Van Halen Tour In Jeapordy!...We'll have details in a moment!"

They went on to report that according to the L.A. Times, a top official at LiveNation said the tour was on shaky ground, and that in an interview with the L..A.Times, David Lee Roth had said the sisters might not even make it to the Hall Of Fame ceremony.

They are totally lame on radio. Just like all the other media in America. They don't do their damn job and we all suffer for it. They're more concerned about shit like Anna Nicole or Britney shaving her head than they are about real news. It's always interesting to watch the news on tv, and see one of the top stories is way too often some bullshit like Britney or Anna Nicole, and what follows that story is something really important. As for music coveage, forget the media, they'll fuck it up anyway.

i was listening to krna 94.1 cedar rapids. iowa, today and they did a few classic vh songs , then the dj came on the air and said that the tour had been cancled because of funding for a tour.
i thought that sounded like bullshit since im kinda living here on the site every spare moment i can get away from my old lady these days,which isnt alot.

anyways i called in and spoke to the dj and suggested he come here to the army if he want to get some info that isnt bullshit heresay.

i didnt know it but he taped our conversation and aired it on the radio so i got a plug in for the army on the radio, hopefully some new people will log in.
oh and i did tell him that we throw rocks at vanhagar lovers, he started laughing.

When the news first broke here in SanDiego on KGB 101.5 fm they were playing CVH around the clock and it seemed since this chaos happened theyve slowed way down.And what they keep insinuating that it not yet official that the tour been canceled.So go figure.They can't seemed to help the mass confusions either.I think the fan forum is far more advance then the radios industry as far as getting a legit sources out.

Blame has to start with the professional fluffer that VH hired for publicity. If they'd handled publicity correctly the VH reunion buzz would be huge and would be covered in all the outlets. Instead, people were talking about the genisis reunion more than VH.

Look at the difference between VH and The Police.

The Police:
Rumors swirl about a reunion for a couple of weeks.
Then they issue a statement "We're gonna do something, but we're not sure what."
A couple of weeks later they announce the grammy performance.
After a couple more weeks they announce that they'll follow the grammys with a special club show and announcement.
They play the grammys - everyone cums in their pants
The nexy day they announce a full fleged tour with sponsorship, dates booked, and a shiny new website from which they can disseminate furhter info.
The tour keeps growing with more shows added daily.

Compare to VH
Rumors swirl of a reunion for months
