It's really unfortunate however, that the only Van Halen songs we'll here live at the R&R HOF will be sung by Scott Weiland and other assorted former Guns' N' Roses Musicians. Now it's pretty clear to me... I'm gonna go support DLR in this band... whoever the fucking bass player is.... but if we could freeze time for just one moment...

I know that I'm amongst the minority but if, and or when this tour happens, I vote NO on bringing "Mikey" back.

I have several reasons for this. First of all, wherever "Mikey" goes, the round rocker's right next to him. They're in-fucking-separable and have been for years. I'd bet money that when either takes a piss, the other half shakes off the excess drip. Having "Mikey" back only keeps the Hag that much more involved and I want him to fade away and be forever shaken off VH's legacy like the bad case of fleas that he's always been.

Secondly, I think "Mikey's" lacking background vocals and their significance are vastly overrated at this point in time. I've always felt that his voice (when not accompanying Dave) sounds flat and irritating at times. Case in point, did any of you happen to catch that "surprise" NECKCAR performance (with MA's other half) that was plastered all over these VH-related sites last weekend? He sounded like fucking shit. That high-pitched screech sounded like a banshee being analy sodomized with a Louisville Slugger. Also, the 80's called "Mikey" and they want their mullet back.

Another big reason that's lead up to my massive negativity nor my never wanting him back is this occult that recently popped up once it was announced that he was no longer a member of VH. These fucking people think he's more important to Van Halen than David Lee Roth for fucks sakes!!! These are the same idiots that could give a shit less whether Dave's in or out. Some of them actually have the fucking nerve to say that Anthony's role in VH is more important than anyone else's and always has been!!! These are the same jackoffs that NEVER had a problem with Dave's absence, attended many shows without him yet flat out refuse to see this new tour cos "Mikey" will not be there. Are you fucking kidding me?



Next case in point is that EVH hasn't wanted the man, the myth nor the Mikey to be involved for a loooooooong time now. If having Wolfgang in there actually pans out, gets them touring with Dave and maybe even brings the possibility of future recordings with Dave, one would think it's a no brainer who should be playing bass from this day forward. Also and don't get me wrong, MA doesn't want Dave back over his other half. That makes for an awful scererio PERIOD!!! However and until I find out that Dave's back for good, this is still all mere speculation. What I mean by that is I'm still waiting to see what's actually the fuck up with this situation regarding Dave.

Finally and again, IF this ends up happening, I'll take Dave's words regarding how Wolfie was instrumental in getting it going. Dave said the kid's the reason Dave's back and also that the kid can play. As always, if Dave says so (regarding VH) then it's all I need to hear.

Plus, this pic still looks cool and "Hope springs eternal."

Here's the way I see it. I'll miss havin' a full fledged union. That said, the kid will be there for all the right reasons. If he truly has the chops then he can bring a lot to the table. The kid wants to play with his old man. The kid wants to play with Roth. The kid could also bring some much needed fun back into the fold to break up the tension. And the most important reason of all? He will be doing it from his heart, not for the money (he already gets that from daddy). That's what this band needs more than anything these days. A drive, a purpose other than just cash and lawyers.

If his playing can cut it and he can help make the machine roar once again then I'm on board. Time will tell. Mike would be nice but Mike is not a necessity.
