VH-1 has another channal called VH-1 classic which these two shows are on

Metal Mania & Rock Show

If you look at a lot of these bands from back in the day, not only were the guitarist influenced by Ed but the majority of the singers were differently influenced by Dave! From the clothes the screaming & especially the jumping (which no one can do like Dave) Period!!

A probably overlooked one: When Guns n' Roses started, Axl Rose wore leather chaps with a thong.

Axl Rose didn't take a thing from Dave. Thong and chaps? Great image before I go to sleep. Thanks.

I think Jon Bon Jovi has taken alot from Dave's image in the 80's leading into the 90's. I also believe Vince Neil took alot from Dave too. Especially during the 80's and his failed solo career.
But then again, if we're talking clothing. I guess an arguement could be made for MC Hammer stealing Dave's fashionable pants. :D

One of the funniest? Joe Elliot's wanna-be split eagle off the drum riser in that video. Was it Photograph? Can't remember...
I think Debrow did the same thing in a QR video. Hillarious.
Looked like a grown man the first time off a diving board.

Lots of bands used the VH formula back then, borrowing from both Ed and Dave. Too bad they were all pale imitations of the real thing.

The whole 80's hairband thing was trying to rip off VH but they focused too much on teasing their hair and wearing outrageous clothes instead of creating good work. (im speaking of the piss poor 80's clones not some of the few exceptions)

Mostly it was a socal thing.
The absolute worst was the Bon Jovi schtick....

Three thousand fucking miles of bad taste and cheesy ballads.

I'll be damned.....did van hagar rip off bon jovi?

Talk about a vicious cycle.....arrgh.
