why does howard stern keep saying dave needs the money, and eddie mentioned in the fall 06 interview too. dave came from wealth and made a lot money. was it bad investments?? accounts washed up??

Beats me. I doubt he's broke. He just isn't as loaded as Ed as he hasn't had much going on in the last ten years or so. It's just people talking smack 'cause it makes them feel better. I'm sure he still has more money now than I will ever see.This space for rent.Comment

Dave is fine.. No Monetary issues as he was fairly smart with his money and still is. (I read this somewhere)
BTW: With Howard Sterns Pay Out was from Sirius, I am sure he views a lot of people as "poor".. LOL..

I'm willing to bet that sitting on his ass, eating cereal out of the box and watching TV...he makes more on interest than 99 percent of us slaving away at our jobs.

I believe Van Halen catalogue sales have been fairly consistent the last fifteen to twenty years. I know he must make at least a quarter off of every album that's sold, and he makes a few cents everytime a Van Halen song is played on the radio (because he co-wrote them).
He probably makes 50-100k every year from Van Halen merchandising, I'd wager. Then tack on his touring income the last few years.Comment
