C'mon FORD!
Gwen is Amazing!
Both of her solo CD's are incredible.
Yeah, she's experimented with rap and R&B...
But she has always re-invented herself... and kept her sound fresh!

Janis Joplin--dirty ass pig, although I would have voted for road slut Debbie Harry if she was on the list

Gwen Stefani.
Weak voice, not attractive, poor songwriting skills, too much emphasis on fashion and style over substance (not that she has a choice).
Tolerable with No Doubt. Sucks dog dicks solo.
Buh-Bye.
Why is everyone baggin' on Stefani?
I'm gonna make her a baby one day!!!
She's probably the best person on the list.

Lotta respect for you, WARF.
Lotta respect.
But Stefani doesn't even BELONG on that list alongside the rest of them.
I know, it's your poll, but gotta call it like I see it.

Stefani. I'm just tired of her, honestly.
I would have voted Karen Carpenter, due to the fact that I can't fucking stand the Carpenters...but she honestly had a very good voice for it...
LOL
I needed one singer from the last 10 years so I picked Stefani!
I almost included Mama Cass... Aimee Mann... Siouxie Sioux (not that there is much of fanbase for her here at the roth army... she is a damn good frontwoman for the goth genre.

C' Ya Karen. Well, maybe not: you were always hard to spot, and you had to run around the shower to get wet.
Booyaaaaa! To The Curb!

Agreed. Carpenter music was boring as fuck, but Karen had a phenominal voice.

In all honesty, if you had included any of those other three you mentioned, the choice for first to go would have been a bit tougher.

Have music by all, but Karen Carpenter is the least rockiest. Heck, I'll even put Stefani above her.
Actually, can a mod change my vote LOL?

Great thread!
Easily Carpenter though, no question.
Not getting the hatred of Stefani: No Doubt were ok and pretty credible, and her solo stuff doesn't really sound like anyone else - she might rap on a couple of tunes, but she still has a uniqe, quirky sound, even if it's not my thing...

She was'nt a sexkitten but clearly had the best voice on the list. And a decent drummer to boot. The harmony production on their records is astounding...
