    New Scorpions...

    Posted on Blabbermouth...

Audio samples of all 12 songs that are set to appear on the forthcoming SCORPIONS album, "Humanity - Hour 1", are now available at the website of the German online retailer Weltbild.de. Due at the end of May, the CD was produced by James Michael and co-produced by songwriter/producer Desmond Child, who has worked with such high-profile pop/rock artists as AEROSMITH, BON JOVI, ALICE COOPER, KISS, RICKY MARTIN, CHER, MICHAEL BOLTON and BONNIE TYLER. The "Humanity - Hour 1" artwork has been posted online at this location.

"Humanity - Hour 1" track listing:

    01. Hour I
    02. The Game Of Life
    03. We Were Born To Fly
    04. The Future Never Dies
    05. You're Lovin' Me To Death
    06. 321
    07. Love Will Keep Us Alive
    08. Your Last Song
    09. Love Is War
    10. Rise Again
    11. The Cross
    12. Humanity

A limited-edition version of the album will include two bonus tracks — "Cold" and "Humanity" (Radio Edit).

SCORPIONS performed their new single, entitled "Humanity", on March 24 at a special concert to celebrate the 50th anniversary of signing the Roman treaty, which became the basis for foundation of the European Union. Watch a video clip of SCORPIONS' performance at YouTube.

SCORPIONS' last album, "Unbreakable", was released in the U.S. in June 2004 through Sanctuary Records. The CD was recorded at Peppermint Park Studio in Hannover, Germany and was mixed at Wisseloord studios in Hilversum, Holland.

They've updated their sound. More bottom and crunch (I likey). Try as they might , they'll always sound like Scorpions.

What's the deal with Desmond Child being everywhere these days?
Is he supposed to bring good juju to an album?

Or doesn't anyone remember how to make a catchy song?
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

They've never been able to get me back since Savage Amusement crawled onto my turntable, took a big steamy shit and then slithered back onto the shelf when it has remained.

I'm sure I've missed some decent stuff, but I doubt I'll buy it.

Yes indeed...it's...very close to the classic 70s Scorpions - havent heard it all, but what I have heard has taken me waaaay back in the day...

Damnit man, get ahold of yourself While "Unbreakable" is a great listen, it in no way comes close to classic 70's Uli-era Scorp's. It is a big step in the right direction. I'll give ya that much.

                  I agree on that.

It is a very, vvery good album, but nothing like the classic era.

                  Still rocks though...

Its not in the same style, though.

Its like a slightly updated sound, but with the atmosphere of classic scorps.

Thats how I see it, anyways...

Yeah, the "vibe" is the same but the music is written/structured slightly differently.

It reall is a great record though...
