    Y & T last night

Y & T played some tiny club in San Diego. Two unknown local bands opened up. At the door, they asked who you were there to see so they could put a checkmark next to that bands name to keep a tally. Y & T had nine checks when I got there after the first band had finished. Maybe 100 people in total for the entire club at it's peak (and that included employees & roadies). And with people smoking, shooting pool, or at the bar, it was basically front row for 30-40 people.

With that said, Y & T was actually really good. Dave Meniketti's voice sounds just as good as 20 years ago. His guitar playing was exceptional, and they played for 2 hours. I had forgotten how many cool songs they had...Black Tiger, Don't Stop Runnin', Mean Streak, etc... Y & T never got huge, which is too bad since they actually had some talent when other who made it big didn't.

Anyways, if you get a chance to see them at a local bar, do it. I spent $46 for the whole night, and that included entry & beers. I even bought a couple beers for my friend. Got to meet the band afterwards for a few minutes.

Is that including the 10 ft. robot?

Y&T wrote some great heavy rock until they cheesed out with that "Summertime Girls" fluff. They shoulda stayed heavy.
Dave Meniketti is a wicked guitarist and a helluva singer too..
Trolls take heed...LOG OUT & FUCK OFF!!!

I saw them in 85 open for Motley Crue and recently just started listening to them again. Don't Stop Runnin is a great tune.

I saw them in 2003 supporting Whitesnake and Gary Moore.

I didn`t know much about them but left thinking they were maybe the best part of the show.

Their drummer was fuckin` ace, even if he was an old, fat guy.

Really? They had some really good stuff back in the day. The album "Contagious" is where most people think they dropped off, but I actually liked it. Check this out....

I never really liked them. They came out about the same time all the fucking one hit wonder bands did. And if you can't hear it your deaf, his voice is similar to Sammy Hagars.

                    Kinda looks like him, too...
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?
