    Exact Audio Copy (EAC)

Is this software just for ripping or can you burn with it as well?

You can burn with it but I've never used it for burning. I rip with it and then burn with Nero.

You can make images and cue sheets with it and burn those, that's really the best way to go.

The .cue sheets are terrific when you have a bootleg that's one big track, or if you have a boot with clicks between and you want to clean it up. .cue sheets are the superior way to make sure that the track transitions will be seamless.

Yea, I always recommend changing the cue shett with notepad or something rather than using a wav editor, less room for error.
