Here's the tunes that have been circulating for two weeks or so, what do you all think?

Better (sounds like a demo to me, drum wise at least.)

Better sounded much heavier when I saw Axl do it live: here's some proshot footage from Rock am Ring 2006

It is NOT Runs 'n' Goses.

That band ceased to exist over a decade ago.

It is a lame Runs 'n' Goses cover band with the old lead singer, Axle Grease.

I agree entirely that it's not G'N'R, but I still quite like this material.

It's a tragedy that's he's still using the name, but the material is really strong in my opinion.

Axl can still pen a fine tune, a more "mature" sound and style, but pretty decent nonetheless.

I was surprised that I liked some of the new "GnR" material. I pretty much gave up on them around 1988.

That first song was pretty cool until that pitch corrected fake sounding high note came up...

And the guitarist does a pretty fair Slash...

Not bad...

The band doesn't sound too bad, some of those songs are actually kind of interesting.

Axl's voice is pretty hit or miss in some of those songs though. I hardly recognized him on some of those.

Could be decent, but definitely not G'n'R.

I listened to all of it...

Some good moments, I guess, but nothing to write home about...

Oh well...

I know what you mean.

I think the album will definately be a grower, rather than an instant love.

But nothing could fullfil the expectation around it....

But worth waiting a decade?

No.

No new music could fulfil that expectation.

The tunes are decent enough though.

Some of it sounds decent...not QUITE worth 10 years + and $10 million + of effort, though.
