Kobe Bryant: Chicago in His Future?
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Sunday, June 17, 2007
Update: The Bulls are thought to be among the teams that Bryant would waive his no-trade clause to be dealt to, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Recommendation: The Knicks (who don't seem to match up well in terms of players to deal) and the Suns (Western Conference rivals) are reportedly the other teams, but the Bulls may provide the best fit for a potential swap. One report had the Lakers hoping to acquire Ben Wallace, Ben Gordon, Luol Deng and the Bulls' top pick (No. 9) in the draft for Bryant. In that scenario, they might as well ask for Wrigley Field and the Sears Tower as well, and the Lakers could always throw in Paris Hilton, but kidding aside, there's a buzz that Bryant will be dealt before the June 28 draft.Comment

Nah, after this year's playoffs and the improvements Gordon and Deng made (the two leading scorers), Wallace (led the team in steals, blocks, boards), and the #9?
What would be left?
Kobe, Heinrich, Thomas, Nocioni, and Duhon. The rest of the roster is pretty thin.
Or was that post sarcasm.Comment

Kobe would be right back in the same boat if that trade went through.
On a team practically alone.Comment
