Adobe Audition (Formerly Cool Edit Pro)

Hi Guys, after some help and recommendations
    here, Im trialling this application...

First thing Ive noticed, is its a great program
to use, *BUT* its really shitty with VST plugins.
My 2 favourites plugins do not load with the
program. One of these plugins is an official
Yamaha one... (Not some shit freebie)

Audition lists the VST effects that are unsupported,
but you cant do anything with them..

So I can see all my fave VST's there, in
the program, but listed as unsupported..
Funny enough most the freebie VST's
    load ok ?? WTF ??

The Yamaha one especially (Vocal Rack)
is recognized by every other DAW program
    Ive ever used..

So it seems the program has limitations..

Shame, as all the other features look pretty
    cool...

Have thought of a workaround, a VST/DX converter..
Trying to dig one up at the moment.
I think Cool Edit Pro was not originally written with
    VST's in mind..

        Cool !

So how do you load the commercial VST's ??
Other than that minor prob, I would have
to agree that its extremely, most excellent.

            Thanks eddie007

Actually I did find a thing called a VST wrapper
that seems to allow some of the unsupported VST's...
I havent had much time to see if its effective or not.
I can see the problem VST's now, so Im assuming it
            will work ok..

The only other nitpick I have with AA is the limited
tempo control.. For example you couldnt really
create a click track for a song that has a few
major tempo changes. You could splice and dice
something, but the program itself wont follow
            or lock on that tempo..

As Im not a MIDI dude, its a small nitpick,
but just something else I noticed that this product
            doesnt have, that others do..

Quantizing support I guess would be another way
            to describe the function.

            Thanks for the link !
