I just heard the new Prince album

5 outta 10 songs are pretty amazing.

That's the real deal. Listening now - the first song has some wierd "buzz" over it...not sure what to make of it, but the second song sounds much better.

I think the download from the Sendspace link is a recording off the radio. There seemed to be a bit of white-noise interference on some tracks.

As far as it being as good as or better than Musicology? No way. Planet Earth was OK on first listen but, for me, the best Prince is live Prince - Sharktank, the Xenophobia series, various small club shows, etc... Its not as guitar oriented as 3121 but there are still some good tracks.

I'll keep looking for a decent version of Planet Earth if there is interest, and the Sendspace link version isn't that bad. Its definitely worth the price I charged and good enough to determine whether or not you want to go out and purchase the CD or download it elsewhere.

Oh yeah - One Night Alone is fantastic. No question about it. But some of those Booties are amazing quality also. I love to love Rhonda but I have one where Larry Graham plays bass - its just amazing!

The song "Planet earth " has some cool guitar solo!
Prince has had more guitar on other albums..not this one so much..but alot of other cool stuff.
Wendy and Lisa's singing is dreamy.

I gotta listen to it a couple of times..I just got the album.
