Simon Phillips is a very cool drummer
Loved the stuff he did with The Who on the 89 tour.
Loved the work he did with Pete Townshend on his solo LP's.
The first time i heard him play was on Judas Priest 'Sin After Sin'
Shame he couldn't have stayed with Priest for longer,
I hope the leather didn't put him off (LOL)

Yes! He was a vastlly different player on Towshend's solo albums - much more emotional and much less sterile. I love that stuff, especially "...Chinese Eyes". Its some of my favorite music. I totally didn't know Phillips played on 'Sin After Sin'.
