Seve was one of those rare talents that combined sheer talent with a charisma that all the money in the world couldn't buy. His kind is truly dying out as the world of sport becomes so money orientated.

About time!! he was past his best a looooong time ago, he was making an idiot of himself, I still remember that impossible shot he made. He will be missed though, he was a class act!

Every time someone like Seve retires the world of sport dies. There's just a severe lack of characters in the world of sport today. It's all about the dollar not the entertainment. Woods is a much better player but if you gave me the choice of who I would rather see play it would be Seve. Same with tennis - Federer is a machine but I'd much rather see McEnroe any day. Boxing - Ali, Cricket (sorry Americans!) - Shane Warne, Football - Best or Maradona. All of these guys transcended their sports.
