Off of their sorry-ass 1988 'Destiny' album.

Total sell-out 80's garbage. People say they were "polishing their sound for America", but I didn't know anyone who wanted to hear commercial garbage like this...

Early Saxon records are fucking great, but the mid to late 80s are a definite no-go area.

Their last two studio records have been very strong, IMO

All their albums up until "Crusader" are great.

They had absolutely no idea how to crack America and it set them back for ten years trying to mimmick Def Leppard.

They`ve been pretty good since they gave up and got back to good old British style Metal.

              Videos like this killed them:

              "Just let me rock"

Yeah, "Crusader" sucked. Didn't they have an album in about '85 called "Rock the Nations"? That was fucking terrible. If memory serves me correctly however, there was a song called "Northern Lady" which would have been pretty awesome if it had been fully acoustic. I think it was on that album...

One of those wack 80's albums even had a guest appearance from none other than Mr Metal himself, Elton John!
                  Ugh!
What the hell were they thinking?

I had bought all their albums & was an ardent Saxon defender until that one.
I think it may have been Rock The Nations...

Saxon was great until Innocence is no Excuse...they fucked up everything after this album...

In the last 5 years they released a couple of good albums...but nothing compared with the classic years!!!
