Eddie, see Van Halen six pack, Jimi Hendrix, see Woodstock dvd, Jimmy Page, see great career, the fucker can play anything, runners up, Tommy Bolin before he fucked himself up with drugs, see Tommy Bolin ''live'' at Ebbets field 1974, some of the solo's are fucking awesome !! Randy Rhoads, see Ozzy tribute album, Eddie wishs his live tone could sound so good !! and Ronnie Montrose, see Open Fire and yes the first album with Hagar, this guy tried anything. I like fearless fuckers, Bolin was the same, they could care less about writing hit songs !! Satch and Vai also.

As far as the Ozzy tribute album...

That guitar sound is nothing like Randy's real live tone...

I have the original boots that album was made from and his sound is vastly different. Way more distorted and thick and just crazy sounding...

Whoever produced that crap ruined what could be a great live album...

They totally reprocessed Randy's tone...

Listen to an Ozzy boot from that era and tell me it sounds anything remotely like Tribute...

Hendrix

EVH

SRV could easily make that list, ask me tommorrow and he might be on it!

Of course...

I'm just fucking joking! Here's my real list...

1. Eddie Van Halen
2. Randy Rhoads
3. Angus Young

:elvis:

I used to have the original boot tape from that show as well. And I know for a fact that Ozzy's vocal on that album is 100% studio overdub. Not surprised that they fucked with Randy's part as well, but my bootleg tape was pretty well worn out even by the time "Tribute" was released, so I never made a direct comparison on the guitar track.
