Does anybody know what the deal is on the AA/Citi tickets? Are they better seats, or reserved, or something?

Yes, better tickets because it's a presale, an opportunity to buy tickets before everyone else.
I haven't been able to get anyone to share the phone number though. I mean crap, it's just a phone number, not like I'm asking for the 16-digit number.

Wow, looks like the phone number has been published on at least a few sites. Some jerk on ebay is trying to sell it! I wonder if they'll check to see if a Citi card was used. My card is actually a Chase card. :p

As far as I can tell. In 2004 it was AOL members, this time it's AAdvantage card members.

It doesn't appear to be a PRESALE; just preferred seats. They are going on sale at the same time the regular tickets are on sale. They must have some reserved just for them for a time period. They are available for almost a month for the Chicago show, for example. So if they don't sell all of them, on 9-20-07, Ticketmaster will have some good seats available at 7:01 pm CDT.

CITI Preferred Seats:
Start:Sat, 08/18/07 10:00 AM CDT
End:Thu, 09/20/07 07:00 PM CDT

Kind of funny. I've had many major credit cards since I was 18, but I hate having any debt, so they currently (99% of the time) have no balance. I applied for a CITI card last week, and they turned me down because I have no balance on any cards. I'm sure they only want people that they will make a lot of money from interest. Well, that's not me. LOL. It only took overnight to get a denial, so go to the website and apply if your show isn't on sale yet. There is time. If you have shitty credit, they will love you. LOL.

Yeah I had the same/similar problem going to a emergency Houston trip a few years back, if you don't use your card all the time.... when you need it it won't "start".

Seems your -credit availability- is just based on recent usage.

Call your card co before you need to use it for a new purchase.This will solve the problemmo.

The password is the toll-free customer service # listed on the back of the card. I don't have that card, but I just went to citibank's website and they list the customer service #'s for all of their specific cards.

I just tried it on ticketmaster and got through to the point that I could buy the tickets. Anyone attempting to sell/pay for that # is a douchebag.

I also would be surprised if it allowed you to actually purchase the tickets using anything but that AAvantage card. I doubt it.

I don't think it'll do a lot of good though. The language on the Ticketbastard site sounds like it has to be paid with an AAdvantage card. Man, presales, auctions, could there be more elitism surrounding this?!!
