Anyone else have a drummer who's kit is held together by JB Weld?

We have a new drummer and his playing and kit sounds great but he's always busting stuff on his kit. I swear if it weren't for JB Welf that kit would be in pieces.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

That stuff works well if used as directed. It won't hold up under salt water & torque applications. This guy back home was bragging about his JB Weld mastery right before he launched his boat @ The Champney river access. He had repaired a section of the mounting plate for the outboard motor with it. Everyone was anxious to get over the Dyke across the river after an exceptionally high spring tide. See, when the tide goes out, all manner of soon-to-be seafood gets trapped in there. Anyway, everyone had racked up, and when he gagged the old evinrude post-catch? The whole fucking motor fell off the back of the jonboat...'cause it was alot heavier!!!

    Good times.....

Our drummer hits hard as hell. His feet included. He likes Tama stuff but the pot metal castings break on his peddles. He JB Welds it together and it seems to work. His kit looks like your threw it off the back of a truck while going down the highway but it sounds fabulouse!

Nitro, what kind of music does this person perform?

Will this stuff work on any other broken instrument?

http://jbweld.net/products/uses.php : Nit, now you can tell the site to add instruments onto the list!

What's funny is our drummer is a dentist but he's still paying off his school loans and paying for part of a practice. He's fucking broke and new drums is down on the priorities. He likes to play drums to loosen up from a day of hardcore concentrating. He says it's a job where you have to unwind or you go nuts. Some dentists hit some balls at the range, some go fishing. He plays the drums.

He's really good and his kit is a little of this and that.

I forgot to mention the duct tape. LOL! Yeah, that's used too!

              We play oldies:

Our drummers Dad played drums in Paul Revere and the Raiders way back in the early 60's so we do Hungry:

I'm the bass player and I dig that song. It's a lot of fun to play.

I'm partial to the Amboy Dukes so I strap on a guitar and play lead for Journey to the Center of Your Mind.

I'm used to the big bass neck so I really have to concentrate not to overshoot the frets on the neck but I've been playing that song for years and know it in my sleep.

He used the JB weld to fix aluminum and pot metal castings that had fatigued and cracked. It does work. I had a friend of mine TIG Weld his kick drum peddles and I machined a new shaft, so that thing if better than new. I don't think it's going to break because we beefed it up with weld.

Won't duct tape muffle the sound of a cymbal?

No, he uses metal foil tape to fix those.

Metal & Duct - sounds like a combo - or the name of a new band! How about Duct Metal?
