How did Almost Famous get that high? Its a good movie but there are far better ones on that list.

I would personally have put "Some Kind Of Monster" much higher: it takes a lot of balls to be that candid and to allow yourself to be seen in that bad a light, and I think it gave a pretty accurate, if disturbing, insight into the band at that time.

And how Wayne's World comes in higher than This Is Spinal Tap I'l never know - love 'em both but Tap is a much better movie.

A lot of Spinal Tap bores the hell out of me.

It's accurate, but not particularly entertaining IMO.

And Still Crazy should be higher as well.

Same here. It's just plain boredom, at times.

I did laugh my arse off at Stonehenge, though.

Cheers! :bottle:

Ok, I can accept that. I was just pointing out that it's a far better film than Wayne's World and deserves to be higher on the list.

How in the FUCK could "Decline of Western Civilization Part II" make the cut and NOT the Original?????

Especially with The Great Rock n Roll Swindle and Rock n Roll High School mentioned, they obviously weren't excluding punk movies. Except the best of them all  And where's The Clash's "Rude Boy", for that matter??

The point about Punk movies is interesting, and I think that is a part of music that Classic Rock pretty much ignores...

I don't really know why that Metallica Some Kind of Monster made the list. I just felt depressed when I watched it. No solos, no classic Metallica melodic metal. What happened to Metallica!

I don't know about the order either...

The Song Remains the Same should be first, and Spinal Tap should be a close second! That is my opinion at least.

And how could they leave out "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains"??

That movie launched Diane Lane's acting career, for fuck's sake!

"Dead Or Alive" is missing for one main reason. Overdubbing.

Doesn't change the fact that this is some LOL shit!!!

Like most lists, this one makes you scratch your head. Rock n Roll High Shcool should be much higher. Some don't even belong on the list.

Dylan's Don't Look Back is a classic documentary, and does deserve the #1 spot. Stones Gimme Shelter should be #2, Woodstock #3 IMO.

Phamtom of the Park is great! Ace steals the show, despite deing so drunk during shooting that he couldn't deliver any of his dialogue, so they just had him make laughing sounds.

To me it seems that there should be two lists: one of great documentaires, and the other of great rock movies.

That would make more sense to me.
