Hi, nobody probably recalls or ever heard of this. But I'll give it a shot.

When I was in LA on vacation around 86-88 (can't remember the year) I saw a long stretch limo outside some store. Don't remember if it was Hollywood or Westwood maybe.. But, the license plate # was just: DLR

I reacted at the time, but didn't stick around.. anyone heard of this?!

It would be really Dave to do that...

Um, that would be a CAR dealer plate. DLR is the designation for dealer, and there are many plates that say that on them.

Most celebrities don't own their own limosines anyways. They hire a service that provides a limo and a driver. Limosines seemed to have fallen out of fashion for regular sedans and SUVs. I think the reason is it's easier to evade the paparazzi in smaller vehicles.
