Even a Devil knows that John Fogerty IS Creedence Clearwater Revival, so anything he does is going to sound similar, but this time, Fogerty has scored a perfect 666 on the retro scale.

This song is vintage CCR.

I've got it and it's easily the best thing he's done. Very listenable.

S'alright.

It doesn't do much for me. The classic CCR is a few cuts above.

I meant easily the best solo thing he's done. Nothing will ever touch CCR, but it's whole different world now too.

It just feels like he's being his more natural self instead of floating around his old self to avoid being "Credence" sounding.

I liked the stuff he did in the mid-80s, like 'Centerfield'.

Probably because he didn't do drugs to anywhere near the level of most of his peers.

Seen some old videos where he appears to be baked, but that was probably the extent of it. Can't see him tripping or going on a coke binge.

He was straight as an arrow at the Wpg show. The thing with Fogerty and music, it's a business and he treats it as such. Perhaps even a little too serious??

That's a byproduct of getting fucked in the ass by former bandmates, including his own brother. Sad that Tom died before they could settle their differences. :(

hehe. I liked the video for that song too, but I'm a diehard baseball fan. I'm biased. :)

Saw him on Letterman a little ways back, and I was honestly shocked about how good he sounds, plays, and the fact that he looks about 40...

:edit: Yeah, the one you posted in the thread:D
