Ain't over till it's over

Seems The Police reunion may not be over when the tour is. Guitarist Andy Summers says the trio is considering recording a new album. "It's sort of like living with the elephant in the room. I would see it as a challenge, to make an absolutely brilliant pop album at this stage of our career, and that would be something quite remarkable," said Summers, 64. The Police broke up in 1984 after five albums and a relationship-busting world tour. Sting, who's 56, has had a starry solo career while Summers and drummer Stewart Copeland kept lower profiles. The reunion tour began in May and is scheduled to run into next year. (AP) (http://www.boston.com/news/globe/living/articles/2007/10/09/aint_over_till_its_over?mode=PF)

As long as it doesn't sound like the crappy solo albums that Sting has released for the last 20 years, that's cool.

I liked Ten Summoner's Tales.

Not all of his solo career has been a wash. Just since the late-90s, mostly.

I think sting is singing the police tunes way different, and it bugs me!

that was the last good one. everything after that has been Elton John/Eric Clapton style schmaltzy lite rock.

Yes!

I'd like to see a more Summers/Copeland influenced (ala Klark Kent) than a Sting new release.

Its hard to not give Sting his props for selling a lot more than the other 2, but he was up for the worst songwriter award this year.

Would be nice to see.

I always dug The Police...Sting solo did not appeal to me.

The Police were great. Notice I said "were". Van Halen were and still are "GREAT".

The Police don't look like they quite have the conviction of the MIGHTY VAN HALEN......
