It seemed as if the two of them have more than buried the hatchet and have actually become close friends. I wonder if Dave played a role in helping Eddie thru his rehab last spring.

Right after last September 2nd's LA press conference, we were a bunch here to be doubtful about Ed's refferring to Dave as his "new brother", though, despite the tough, hard-bitching past wars and weird directions got us used to be very prudent as far as EVH could ever say, this time it made sense, at least theorically: he'd very likely been through pretty hard times in rehab', so one could guess such a gratefulness would be due to some helpful support from Dave's part...

Roth being quiet during Eddie's issues of the spring, I think solidified a friendship that was once torn apart by egos.

Holy crap, when I posted my previous reply to Katies message I didn't see the rest of the pages in this thread. Wow, it's the world upside-down. First all of us Rothfans bash Eddie and Dave for not being able to get their shit together and start playing again. Now that they're on the same stage (and level?) again, you almost get the idea that the Army is falling apart. (Slightly overreacted of course since I see most of you peeps here celebrate the reunion as much as I do and can get along as good as always) but still, I believe it's a bit of a shame that there seem to be more and more negative vibes around these days than before. In my book, Roth is about having a party and no more than that. Of course life is not always the party we want it to be but man, shouldn't we keep the crap for that place where we're at from 9-5 and party as much as possible in the rest of the hours? :-) I know everybody wants some!
