More like a very low end bootleg company!

Well, the dvd duly arrived this morning and as promised here's the scoop on it...

The back cover confirmed my worst fears! It has a disclaimer in very small writing buried at the bottom which reads:
NB: This DVD may highlight the limitations of the original film recording of the source material.
That my friends is an understatement! It IS indeed the US Festival performance, but, it has been pulled from one of the worst transfers of that show I've ever seen! I had a pretty awful VHS tape years ago and that was better! The sound is out of sync as well and on my copy the sound disappears mid way through Bottoms Up which is the last song on the disc, even though we all know that YRGM/Happy Trails was the last song at this show, the inside cover lists YRGM as part of the show yet it's not on the disc!!
But, the best bit I haven't even mentioned yet! The screen has a border, which can't be removed, of an American flag with Dave in the bottom right hand corner which probably takes up around 1/2 the screen!(Check out the attachment) I can't believe that someone thought that would be a good idea! At the beginning of each song you get the title and writing credits on screen for around 5 seconds just in case you've forgotten them!
All in all, this is the worst DVD I've ever had the misfortune to witness! It did give me a laugh though, as I can't believe that someone thought they were doing a professional job with this, it looks as though a kid was entrusted with it!
Guys, don't touch this, seriously the bootlegs are way better! It's crap and my copy is going back to Amazon tomorrow!

that really sucks.. I tried to get a good copy many times, and the best one was wound up being the first one I got in 1989. I sold aboug 500 copies on ebay in 1999-2000 and sold each for a minimum of $20, some as high as $50.

We can always hope that someday there will be an official dvd release of this concert.

I'll stick to my old mpg file I got on EMule.. Shitty image, crappy sound, but hey..
Maybe I should get it via torrent.. It would probably take several weeks to get it, but it will be better than this piece of shit Live Rarities !!
