“Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding” ― Betty White
What's so wrong with it? I'd say, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones are pretty good company, and you could make arguments for any of them to be number 1. Freddy Mercury and Robert Plant are hands down the best singers of the top four, whereas Dave and Mick Jagger are the most visual...with Freddy having a stake in there as well.
But, I still think Dave is/was the best all around entertainer, as opposed to "best singer".
My call would have been:
1. Roth
2. Mercury
3. Jagger
4. Plant
or something like that...

That's a pretty fair assesment. Yeah, Dave's a better frontman than those guys, but coming in fourth ain't bad. Hell, at least they remembered him in this poll!
those guys dont even come close to dave, and he should be number one no doubt. while they are all decent singers, dave is a much better entertainer than all of them put together. the list should look like this:

To me a great front man-person is someone who other's try to emulate.
After Dave & the boys came out just about every band in that era was trying to be Dave & Ed for that matter! Even Al with his drum kit.
Who was really trying t be Robert Plant, Fred or Mick??!!

Is this a serious question?
Dave at #4 sounds about right to me actually, although I personally would have put him above Freddie.
