I remember Cheney and his secret "energy task force" of big oil, which of course we later learned was their plan to carve up the Iraqi Oil Fields after they invaded and conquered.

I remember Chimpy's SOTU speech talking about our "addiction to oil"

I remember gas prices in 2001 being around $179.9

I remember Chimpy having a rubber stamp congress he never vetoed for 6 years, yet can't recall them passing any great energy plans

And I remember filling up yeasterday for $80.56

i remember being cautiously optimistic about bush's first energy plan he highlighted in that 1st state of the union.

however, i was also a little skeptical about his hydrogen economy. big words that required big, big actions. and, since bush took none of those actions i didn't have to worry about how he would pull off such a complicated plan.

maybe we'll move on to helium...
