View Full Version : What if Ed hosted a guitarist festival? Like Crapton does.

So I was watching the latest Crossroads festival DVD earlier...wow. Would the same concept work if Ed hosted a tweaked version?

Maybe they could call it "Eddie Van Halen's friends!!"?

Who would be on the guest list?

Would it be legendary?

Weigh in!

To many shredders.
If he did a search for the "next guitar God" thing that would be cool.
I dont want to see ed with Brian May or some of theses others.

I'd rather see him and George Lynch with young people.
That would be cool.

It's really not a joke thread.

Think everyone that doesn't appear on the blues-based claptonal......

I mean, how fucking great would Ed introducing Brian May be?

How great would Michael Schenker introducing Tony Iommi be?

How fucking great would it be if Ed introduced John Mayer, and Jack White came walking out???

Ed could go, "Hey! you ain't John Mayer!!"

Jack could go, "I'll take that as a compliment Ed....thanks for inviting me!!"

Done like that? That would be alright...I'd pass on the Jack White bit, but I'd show up anywhere that had Tony Iommi and Brian May on the same stage...

It'd certainly beat the pants off of the G3 thing...

Yes...

If it would actually happen, I'd love to see Lynch and Ed duke it out on stage.

I would like to see some new blood - like Jack White, as well as Satch and Vai, Beck, Page.

It would be interesting for Ed to play with Beck al la Starfleet blues.

Much as I love Ed, Lynch would hand him his ass....;)

Clapton's OK with getting blown off the stage by Jeff Beck...not so sure that would be the case here....

Yeah, a few of the usual suspects, and alot of folks you'd never see on Clapton's blues snooze.

Ladies and gentlemen.....Greg Ginn and Warren DeMartini!!!

You think I didn't realize that?

It would just do Ed good to get his ass handed to him. (For once?)

...Wasn't saying you didn't realize it, just that I doubt it would be allowed to happen... ;)
