Hey thanks a million for that. Hilarious! I have to put that on my cell phone as my ring tone. Really interesting to hear the raw vocal track.

That is most awesome! The amount of print through on the tape suggests a multitrack tape that has been in storage a long time and was brought back out. Hmmmmmm......

For Verizon, just go to "get tunes & tones", then "record new"...

I just did a ten second clip, that replaces a bit of bootleg Ed.

Awesome, and thanks for this find Calderone.

I'm more stoked than ever for the next two shows we're hitting now.

Roth on, you crazy ass MF'ers.

hehehe
but RWTD are not Dave's classic screams
He uses a falsetto thing going on here
its the only studio song he screams using this way
:D
thanx

MAN ! Thats Grate :D

Makes you wonder if somebody has the mastertapes out there..
would be cool to dissect some of the other parts of the songs
too...

If not a mastertape, thats a fookin grate vocal remover tool...

Am I the only one who is suspicious of this? Sounds to me like it might be that Billy guy faking Dave's voice.

That Billy dude can mimic Dave's speaking voice.

In theory Ralph from the Atomic Punks would make
for better speculation...

Sounds like Dave to me....

I can say for sure that that vocal track is not the same one that Roth did on the RWTD that we know today. It could be possible that it is an outtake. But, if you listen to the original version, they are different. It's noticeable just from the first few seconds of the song. Compare it to the original which I posted below.

Sounds like Dave to me.... Speaking to the original version we know today, Dave come in with a "Yeah yeah", but the other version has "oh" then "Oh Yes". Not the same.

Let me add that it could be possible that the "Oh" and "Oh Yes" were taken out of final mix. There is also and inconsistency during Ed's solo, but again that could be because of changes made in the final mix. I listened to the both side by side line by line and it;s pretty close. Could be the real thing, but I'm still skeptical. Does anyone have any info about this track?

Cool here
does that voice trap works ?
i dont think it could work as cool as what we heard
thats definetely from the masters

I don't have it but I may download the demo. It seems it would be
easy to isolate the vocals especially because of the way Van Halen
recorded those early albums segregating the tracks left and right

I was hoping it was you who had the 'original' and this was some kind
of Chilean Van Halen quiz game. :D

Howard Stern played some of this this week, he really complimented Dave and said it really sounded good and that Dave really can sing

bluemustard

Yeah..I heard Howard say that.
But the remix Richard did was crap!! (Joan Jett & Dave's vocals).

The chico that did RWTD with Beastie boys was wayy beter!! LOL
But he was working for Dave radio.
:D
