Van Halen tickets will not go on sale Saturday
Star Tribune

Last update: February 7, 2008 - 7:54 PM

Contrary to a report on this page Thursday and on page F24 of today's Scene section, Van Halen tickets will not go on sale Saturday morning. A news release from Ticketmaster announced that the band would be returning to the Twin Cities for a show in May. However, details of Van Halen's tour have yet to be finalized, a spokesman for promoter Live Nation said Thursday. Last year's reunion of original singer David Lee Roth with Van Halen was one of the big stories in rock music. Even though Roth and Eddie Van Halen had been estranged for 23 years, the band's instantly sold-out concert at Target Center in October was outstanding. Van Halen tour dates have been announced through early April, and the tour is expected to be extended.

Interesting... You would think that they're running out of places to play in the US, especially with the same setlist/show... Now if they change it up...

Stadiums and outdoor venues in the US and Canada have yet to be visited.

Bring on a Barry, ON show. I love that park (was Molson Park, don't know what they call it now).

Good point... we have a great outdoor amphitheater not far from here in West Palm Beach. I say new setlist + outdoor shows = kick ass summertime rock & roll.

Sweden or elsewhere in Europe please.

Othewise I have to spend another $3000 to fly over to the US to catch the show again.. and that didn't even include the t-shirts :-)

Or both, since I am in the US for work in June and play in July.. Would be cool to hook up with Hyman and his posse again.

Studio recording first!!

Then another tour, they've gotta give us something new, it's 'bout fuckin' time.

I got a feeling they're gonna side-step an album recording and earn big bucks, a studio recording, could see them fall out again.

Where are these dates coming from?, there wasn't anything about the tour being Extended or haven't heard anything about VH coming to MN. I want to do the Iloveaccess thing again, but there isn't anything about these dates on the page.
