This years Wolfmother it seems...

Perfectly decent, ass kicking rock n roll. However, when I hear stuff like this I am in two minds: on the one hand, I'm glad that there's some decent music getting mainstream attention; on the other, I feel like I could actually be listening to the classic albums that bands like this pay homage too.

Makes me smile though...

Airborne are an old band going back to '79:

The opening track, "the lady knows best", is the best of the bunch.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beau_Hill
I presume this is the same Beau Hill that produced Ratt.

That beats bob's 11 dupe posts run a few weeks ago. Congrats!

I'll check Airbourne out when I get back on a real computer. The name itself is outstanding and a go at this station.

Sorry, but to me they seem like another flash in the pan "real" rock wannabes. It looks like they couldn't make up their minds whether to rip off AC/DC or Metallica so they did both. Sorry, JMO. Flame me if need be.

I picked it up. Pretty kick ass, 80's style metal!

I love it, the singer's voice falls right in the middle of Bon and Johnson. Just good to hear some good solid rock and roll.

I'm still not on the bandwagon yet. Like I said, it's good to hear decent rock n roll getting airplay, but to me this band is just this years Wolfmother (ie, a poorer version of the originals.)

Oh, and there are PLENTY of decent rock bands around, you just have to search for them 'cos the mainstream music press won't pay you any attention unless your either a pussy or a playa!

Dudes I'm jumped on this band wagon about a month and some ago and these guys fucking rock. period. Nothing special, nothing fancy just badass fock and roll. There's not one mainstream band of today that came hold there own against these crazy fucks. And i also must say that "Cheap Wine" is definitly my fav track. Roth on bitches!

They seem decent...and it good to hear straight ahead rock on the radio.

But...for the love of God...I am so tired of hearing Too much, Too young too fast...I could swear the Nickelback wrote that cliche filled song.

I saw them twice this year in Birmingham and I tell you they are fucking awesome , how he keeps singing like that all night is a fucking mystery.

I'd rather listen to DC or Rose Tattoo...

First video doesn't work. Second one sounds Ac/Dc's "Live Wire" played too fast.

That is the point with Airbourne , they sound like AC/DC because that's who they are, only younger and with more energy. They are Austrailian and I think they are even signed up with albert productions.
If you like old school AC then this is the band for you, like I said in a previous post I've seen them live twice and they were great and I can say that they can put on a show on par with AC/DC , I know cos I saw them a few times in the 80's the earliest in '82.

My mate is one of the biggest AC fans around (has been for 30+ years) and has got tickets for their tour this year and even he has said he'd rather go and see Airbourne.

Check them out.

It's AIRBOURNE... with a "u" IN THE MIDDLE...

It's a debut album.
In any event, debut for debut, nothing like a little 70's to end the week:

Airborne was an AOR band based in Denver, Colorado headed by Beau Hill, who later became well known as the producer of Ratt and Warrant. This is Track 1 of their self-titled LP which was released in 1979.
