Van Halen confirms Winnipeg show

Local hard-rock fans should be feelin’ hot for teacher, now that metal faves Van Halen have confirmed what we told you nearly two weeks ago — that they’ll be playing a Winnipeg show this spring.
The recently reunited California foursome — again featuring original frontman David Lee Roth on the microphone, but with guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s 16-year-old son Wolfgang filling in for ousted bassist Michael Anthony — have announced they’ll play MTS Centre on May 3.
Tickets go on sale this Saturday at Ticketmaster, at 780-3333, and range in price from $52.50 - $139.50.
No word yet on who’ll serve as their opening act.
