Gotta love Nick Lowe! I'm a huge fan of his earlier stuff, and this is his best album i think.

How far in his career do you dig his music?

I used to have some cassettes through '82-'83.

It' actually been very long since i listened to Nick Lowe, but a lot of his earlier stuff i like. I kind of lost interest after Little Village(what a great album by the way...)

Pick up Rockpile's, "Seconds of Pleasure"

Nick Lowe, Dave Emunds, Billy Bremner & Terry Williams

An overall superb effort. Nothing fancy, just straight ahead rock with a 60's rockabilly twang

How does the rockability compare to Stray Cats and Reverend Horton Heat?

                  They don't compare at all

The Cats & Horton's forte was rockabilly

This Rockpile effort is rock & roll with a 60's feel & a little rockabilly mixed in

It's hard to explain. It's like they did a Everly Brothers "thing", a swing "thing", ect.

But it's all rock & roll & the album kicks ass

Well known songs may be "Teacher, Teacher" & "When I write the book"

Check it out if you like that sort of thing
