The fight I have been waiting to see is Silva VS Jackson 3.
Wanderlei destroyed his twice before and Rampage wants revenge.
This time they are fighting in a cage and are being drug tested.

Here are my picks!
Champ Forrest Griffin (205) vs. Rashad Evans (203)
I hate Rashad. I hope he gets blown out for the nipple tweaking shit he does. I am not sure if Forrest is the man to do it. Rashad by KO or Forrest by Decsion.
I am picking Rashad by KO

Champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (246) vs. Frank Mir (251)
Big Nog by destruction. KO or submission round 1. Mir hasn't looked the same since his motorcycle accident.

Quinton Jackson (206) vs. Wanderlei Silva (203)
I am picking Jackson by decsion. It could go either way.

Mustafa Al-Turk (237) vs. Cheick Kongo (233)
Kongo is to much for AL-Turk. Kongo KO round 2

C.B. Dollaway (186) vs. Mike Massenzio (184)
Why is this on the main card? Massenzio via KO

PRELIMINARY CARD

Dean Lister (186) vs. Yushin Okami (185)
Okami gets a decision

Antoni Hardonk (246) vs. Mike Wessel (260)
No thoughts

Reese Andy (206) vs. Matt Hamill (205)
Hamill via 3rd round decision. Hamill didn't look impressive against Franklin

Brad Blackburn (170) vs. Ryo Chonan (171)
RYO finally gets win?!

Patrick Barry (233) vs. Dan Evensen (242)
No thoughts. Who cares..!

Being that I am stationed overseas I get all the UFC's via the Armed Forces Network for free. The only thing is - It doesn't start until 3 AM over here

The winner of the Nogueira-Mir fight gets Lesner...If it's Mir, I don't think he beats Lesner a second time.

But this is fucked up:

Eilers Shot Dead

Saturday, December 27, 2008
Justin Eilers was shot and died shortly after on Friday morning in an apparent domestic disturbance at an acquaintance’s home in Canyon County, Idaho. Eilers was 30 years old.

Canyon County sheriffs arrived at the residence at 10:44 p.m. MST, where Eilers was found shot and wounded.

"Emergency medical staff took live-saving measures, but they were unsuccessful," said Capt. Dana Maxfield.

Eilers was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy conducted Friday released the cause of death as a single gunshot wound to the chest. The bullet reportedly punctured Eilers’ lung before exiting his body, said Monte Cox, Eiler's longtime manager.

Cox said Eilers had gathered with relatives for the holidays, but tensions escalated with an ex-girlfriend, also in attendance. Eilers was asked to leave the residence, but was said to have refused and began throwing dishes and other objects in protest. The home’s owner was then said to have pulled a gun on Eilers and shot him in the chest after a brief verbal confrontation.

Eilers’ ex-girlfriend, mother, and young son were said to have been in the room at the time of the shooting.

James Robert Malec, 48, was arrested and charged with second degree murder in relation with the shooting, said Capt. Maxfield. It is believed that Malec is Eilers’ mother’s boyfriend. Capt. Maxfield could not confirm this relationship or Eilers' alleged interaction with the ex-girlfriend. Maxfield did confirm that numerous relatives were at the scene at the time of the shooting.

Eilers was introduced to the fight game by close friend and former UFC champion Jens Pulver, who saw potential in the former Iowa State middle linebacker. After a brief tryout, Eilers became a member of the formidable Miletich Martial Arts team.

A well-liked figure in the fight community, the athletic heavyweight quickly rose through the ranks and fought for the UFC heavyweight championship against Andrei Arlovski at UFC 53 in June 2005. The fight was stopped 4:10 into the first round when Eilers incurred a knee injury and collapsed to the canvas.

Eilers (19-7-1) appeared in the Octagon four times, and went 1-3 in the UFC.

The Boise native reeled off 10 victories in his next 11 fights and got his second title bid for the EliteXC promotion in 2008.

After a second-round loss to the much heftier Antonio Silva last July, Eilers announced he’d be moving down to the 205-pound division.

“He was really getting his fight career together,” said Cox, who called Eilers a good friend

What the hell is his ex doing there, anyway?

Griffin probably thinks he has something to prove after the Jackson fight...I think he tries too hard, and loses this one.

Gotta go with Wand..he's beaten Jackson's ass twice already.

You're right, man - this is a damn good card, looking down the list.

I want someone to throw a hood over Rogan's head and drag him back to Fear Factor.

Wow.
Can't believe Rampage won like that.
He looked tense coming out. That was a brutal KO.
I wish we could have seen more of that fight!
What Rogan said about getting knocked out like that 3 times in your career (about Silva) was kind of unfair. He got caught right on the chin by a really hard puncher.

Frank Mir. I am shocked. Big Nog had nothing. Looked horrible. I hink that he will lose the rematch with Lesnar. The way Mir turtled up in the 1st match with Lesnar after just a few seconds I was wondering how he would do in this fight.

Rashad.. he did what i thought he would do. Forrest's only way of winning would be by a decision. I can't stand the guy.(Rashad) I can't think of anyone I dislike more in MMA besides Bisping. Someone will have his number eventully.

Matt Hamill. Wow his leg kicks we funny. They looked like something my kid would do!

TOnight was an aweful night if you bet on any matches! My predictions were way off!

I don't know what those two announcers were watching....it was like a Griffin lovefest, complementing his "sharp" kicks.
I didn't see it that way. Those lanky legs of his went too high and missed Evans' knee...slow as shit, too.

But yeah, eventually everyone gets beat-that's what I like about this sport-more than 1 way to win...or lose. The only thing I don't like about it is there are too many different leagues...probably because of juicing (see Bob Sapp,K-1).

Kimbo the clown gets my vote for least favorite. Big hype-no skill.

It was only a matter of time...EliteXC is gonna take a bath on that.
