President Obama Does First Formal TV Interview as President with Al-Arabiya

How about formally addressing THIS country first ??

    January 26, 2009

As special envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell heads off to the region to begin work on negotiating a cease fire between Israel and the Palestinians, President Obama has sat for his first formal TV interview with the Arabic cable TV network Al-Arabiya, ABC News has learned.

The interview was taped this evening and is set to air at 11 pm ET, as Mitchell is in the air and on his way to the region.

Based in Dubai, Al-Arabiya estimates that it has a potential audience exceeding 23 million in the Gulf region.

Do you really expect us to seriously entertain such trivial criticism from someone who spent the last 8 years supporting Bush and his policies?

I'm about tired of seeing Obama on TV right now. Seems like he's making a speech or announcement every day. Maybe not a formal speech to the country, but definitely a lot of face time.

You would prefer the approach of the Chimp who didn't even bother speaking to the American People until his excuse for a war was handed to him on a concrete platter 9 months later?

I think it's more media-overload than him purposely putting himself out there. They're going to drive anything Obama-related into the ground because he's a hot story right now.

I suspect it'll wind down once the new president smell wears off.

Well, that all depends on which story you believe. But for sake of argument, we'll say it was his old family friend Tim Osman.

Obama's telling the Arab world they're not an enemy. Well... we'll see... actions speak louder than words, fucktard.

Maybe it's a way of assuring America that he is, in fact, doing something about the clusterfuck Republican policy has put us in over the last eight years.

Christ, in the last week ALONE he's done more and kept America informed about it than Bush did in the last year...

But hey, if you wanna remain ignorant about what your government is doing from here on out, just shut off the TV, turn off the radio, don't read the newspapers and stay off the internet and you'll remain exactly that.

Believe it or not, the rest of America might just be interested in finding out whether or not he's going to do anything other than go on vacation for half of his Presidency, but don't blame us for it...

I wouldn't have expected any less from Hussein, the man who was swore in as governer on the Qur'an.
