Ken Griffey Jr.'s return to the Seattle Mariners appears to be imminent, the Seattle Times reports.

Several news outlets are reporting that talks between Griffey and the Mariners have heated up in the wake of Bobby Abreu's signing with the Angels. Griffey's agent said earlier this week that the veteran was essentially a fallback option for several teams and that once contracts for other outfielders started falling into place his client would be signed.

Griffey and the Mariners appear to be working on a one-year deal that could be announced next week, pending a physical exam. Griffey had surgery on his left knee in October.

Griffey, who is 39, hit .249 last season playing for the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds. He scored 67 runs and had 18 home runs.

Why not let him come back where the fans love him, and he earned the right to be a future hall of famer?

Or does nothing on earth make you happy? Don't worry about answering that

1] Who said I wasn't "letting him back"? you moron.

2] Watching ignorant pukes like you try to keep up with adults make me laugh, albeit not "happy"

I save happy for my family, friends, coworkers, and bandmates.

Now kindly STFU and get a job that will allow you to STOP mooching of your parents, Mr. 20.
