Cast your vote for the biggest waste of bandwidth, the supreme oxygen thief, and time vampire we have this month.

Our Candidates:

GAR

For his RIP JIZZYSTOOL thread

Andy Taylor

For his ghey-love of Duran Duran

bastardson

For his lame attempt at covering up the fact he's a cadaverdouche alias

Go for the Gold, Trolls!!!!

:fufu:

I had to cast my vote for GayR.

As ghey and pathetic as Andy is, and as moronic as the Bozo from Bakersfield is, the mere fact anyone would falsely claim a member died just to get attention, is disgusting.

At least Opie Taylor and cadaverson are [unintentionally] hilarious.

"Duran Duran".............

The choice is clear............

kwame k
03-10-2009, 01:24 PM
Boy oh Boy.....they all have their merits, who to choose?

C-Dung by far is the funniest and lamest.
Gar is the most offensive.
Andy is by far the most annoying.

Gotta go with all of the above!

Ok

First off, Gar shouldn't be glorified for his jiz is dead thread due to the fact that that act was incomprehensible and a trolls' goal is attention so he wins in a way for getting more milage out of something that was wrong, even by RA standards.

Shoot if you want, Duran Duran has a good bassist technically. But that Reflex song, good, god.
Why yi yi yi wha wha why yi yi yi
What the fuck were they thinking?
But I give Andy the pass 'cos of the bassist.

so it's down to C-dog, who basically gives people like Lounge, Chef and Kwam to do their thing and make quality entertainment out of a derailed train.

so, there's that:fenderstrat:

I lived in Boca Raton, it was a real nice area.
Right near the beaches...
Tons of celebrities...
Football players...
My parents house was three houses down from Jason Bonham...
lol
That's another great story...

I went to visit my parents, and I go through the security gate... and the guard was tellin me how Jason Bonham just moved in... and when I found out where he lived... I was like fuck... that's only a few houses down... anyways...

I ran into him outside when he was taking a walk...
I said to him...
Are you Jason Bonham yadda yadda...
He lifts off his sunglasses...
And says yes yadda yadda...
I tell Jason... I fucking love Led Zeppelin...
They're my second favorite band...
He looked a bit surprised...
"So who is your first?"
Classic Van Halen with David Lee Roth!
Then he remarked... Oh, I love Van Halen... I saw them in Fort Lauderdale...
I was like, "No shit... me too... It's too bad the tour was postponed....
He then said... "Yeah, Ed's off the wagon... it's a shame really"
The whole time.. i'm thinkin to myself.... your father died from alcohol..
So I finished with the nice to meet you.... blah blah...

I saw him a few more times after that...
He said he'd hook me up if and when the band went on tour...
I had his cell number at one point and lost my phone...
Not that I would ever call him...
Oh shit... now I remember....
I was fucking wasted at a bar one time...
And Zeppelin was playin' on the juke box...
oh fuck here's another story!!

I was at a bar, and I was pretty fucking hammered...
Zeppelin was on the jukebox...
And their was some dude talkin' about the band...
And how much he loved them...
And I was like...

I got Jason Bonham's number in my phone!!!
And whatever...
So im still drinkin'... talkin' to some bitch... tryin' to take her back home...
And I forgot I left my phone at the bar!!!
So I go back and get it...
And when I look to see if I had any messages or calls....
There was like 5 fucking OUTGOING CALLS to JASON FUCKING BONHAM!!!

WTF?!?!!

When I got home and sobered up...
I was like AHHHHH FUCK!!
Did he talk to him???
DID HE LEAVE A MESSAGE?!?!
Does Jason know it was ME???
I was fucking paranoid...
LOL... DID SOME 50 YEAR OLD BUM LEAVE BONHAM A BUNCH OF MESSAGES?!?!
I never had the balls to call him after that... lol

Seriously, it's not funny lol

I probably would have been set up with some great fuckin' tickets...
Maybe even backstage or whatnot...
And I fucking leave my phone at a bar...
Acting like a fucking bigshot fool... thinkin im cool cuz I got Bonham's number....
I might have even met Page and Plant... but no...

Instead I got some idiot 50 year old... probably singin' a redneck karaoke version of, "Immigrant Song" on his fucking answering machine!!

Andy Taylor ! had to go with him. His taste in music is everything
I stood against as a head banging metal kid. Even as I get older
that whole Duran Duran/Flock of Segulls/Spandau Ballet/Bronski Beat/Thompson Twins
Boy George/Is that a guy or girl standing in front of that computer
backing track?, 80's scene... still manages to piss me right off.

I feel compelled to warm the tubes in the JCM800 and play Hells Bells
at 11, just to calm down !!!!!

Andy was an easy choice. (And he loves The Red Teletubbie ?)
I still dont understand how the links banned him, he seems a
prime candidate to be a Mod over there.... Or a links posterboy !

Time to chuck "Ride the Lightning" into the CD tray....

I dunno...Andy simply does not meet my definition of a troll. The truth is, he starts threads about bands he likes, yet tends to go a bit overboard with the presentation, which draws the ire of people. He returns fire, and suddenly it's a cluster-fuck.

Really, I believe if the fellow merely started a thread about a band without the hyperbole ("greatest band", "Beatles of the Eighties", ect.) people would accept it, or ignore it and simply move on. The fact is, the guy is engaging and usually knows what he is talking about. Like I said, it's only when he is treated with hostility does he then respond with it. I believe that the truth lies in the notion that the fellow may be a tad naive in how the place operates (for instance, the Hagar thread).

At least that has been my observation. And considering the fact that there are a handful of true sociopaths here making certain that they hop on the short bus to the library each morning in order to foul the site, Andy's endeavors pale by comparison. I could be wrong, and after all this is just MHO, of course. ;)

I don't think it's a big deal really.
I lived in Boca Raton, is equal to the East coast version of Beverly Hills.
I've met Niko From Iron Maiden grocery shopping...
Saw Joe Pesci at a restaurant...
Mandy Moore at WHOLE FOODS...
They're everywhere...

To be perfectly honest... I didnt feel celebrity shell shocked by his presence...
The only time I mentioned anything about his father...
Wasn't about his music or Led Zep...
I told him... It must be hard being a young kid and losing a father...
That was another conversation... i'm not gonna get into that...

Well Craig, I can understand like in the cases of Duran or Hagar how it could draw people's ire. 80s Beatles wasn't mine btw. ;) But I don't see why it has to be so. I have my way of getting folks to see a point and I employ a mix of humour, antagonism, irony and sarcasm especially when I'm up against a blind dismissal of something. Trolls (if that's the word) like terrorists react to some initial aggression, so I'm glad you seem to have noticed that. To me this outright mental rejection of Duran or a whole number of things is as annoying as when people blindly go with some religion or take the hardcore atheist route. It's part and parcel of a group mentality. To use Duran as a metaphor for the world's bigger issues, this mentality is why I feel we're almost certainly on the path towards mutually assured destruction.

Pretentious, moi? I'm clowning around by mentioning Duran there (literal types) but it's something that bugs me on a daily basis. People so firmly ensconsed within their own groups, formed on the basis of the most shallow things. Everyone taking an emotional reaction to something, not questioning themselves or seeing that they're as fucked up as the group they're slagging. I feel about it the way Demoncunt would about bible thumpers.

Cool stuff ! I guess living downunder we dont get to
see as many high profile celebs just wandering the
streets. There are trendy sections of Sydney
where you can do some celeb spotting. However
I dont live in the city itself, so we dont exactly
bump into Russell Crowe when we grab groceries.
(Although I do know exactly where his house is)
Used to know where Tom and Nicole lived too..
They had a mini army patrolling that joint 24/7
My wife spotted Brian Mcfadden from some Irish
boyband walking the city streets recently.
(He married one of our chick singers Delta
Goodrem- she's a good sort !!)

The best celeb story I have, is not from me
but my best friend from highschool. He ended
up working for Channel 9 in Australia, and
became best friends with Kylie Minogue's
younger brother. My mate was British
and on one of his trips back to London,
Kylies brother was there, and invited him
to her place in London. She was home !
Apparently they blew a joint in her
loungeroom... lol... She was actually
doing some cooking at home. He said
she was really nice, not a stuckup bitch
at all...

I guess people living in LA would have a few stories like
this, as you said. Thats funny about Nicko McBrain,
he always looked like he learned to play the drums
without sticks. (Used his face instead !)

I stayed in Hollywood 2 years ago, and then
found out that I was within a mile of
Eddies house and didnt realize it !!
(When I was back home in Australia !!) DOH !!
We didnt have much time there, if we stayed
longer I probably would have checked it out
better.. Hollywood was nothing like I imagined..
Like it was literally, nothing ????
Didnt see any stars either... :(
