E, I can not make out the headstock on the Paul McCartney bass. Is that the model that was sold at Musician's Friend a few years ago? I'm kicking myself for never picking one up, yet I heard that they had some considerable tuning problems. What has been your experience, which model is it and where did ya get it? Nice collection, by the way. The Strat looks remarkably like the one Joe Perry used when he first went solo with The Project all those years ago. And I'm diggin' the blue Rick!

The McCartney bass is an Epiphone from the mid 90's...
Stays in tune fine, but i'm pretty good at setting up guitars...
Not made in China...
The Blue Rick is an '82 4001 that is very rare, especially in lefty...
They were made in Midnight Blue and Red, both with all black hardware...

Notice I changed all the black hardware to chrome with vintage green tuners and I painted the pickguard with three colors of micro-fine metallic over an aluminum base color and it gives a neat prism effect in different light...
I also used metal pickguard rings that really changed the tone...
I think the metal resonates better than the cheap plastic...
