Anybody else have this disc?

I have no idea when it came out, but saw this DVD at the store and picked it up. I watched the whole thing at an extremely high volume. (my ears are bleeding!) Stage Fright flat out kicks ass. If you don't own it, get it. Well worth the dough.

I`ve got it.

It came out around 2005 and it was taped on the "Inferno" tour.

The setlist kicks "Boneshaker"s arse with one or two from "Another perfect day".

Von Halen is damn right, it`s well worth getting.

I met Lemme when I was 15.. The fooker still looks the same..
(I dont !!)
He was awesome, taking time to hang out with all the kids
after the show. (which was a non alcohol underage skating
rink deal) I loved the show, Lemme was an outstanding bloke,
but I never really got into them later on in life.

Might be time to revisit them. Von seems suitably impressed !
(The last song I liked was "killed by death"...)

Im sure they have released another 20 albums since then....
With the lack of any decent "new" music, going back
to listen to some of these bands you passed on in the early
days, is better than most of the new crap...

If you do get around to it I would recommend "Orgasmatron", "Bastards", "Sacrifice", "Hammered" or "Inferno" as the best albums since "Killed by death".

In fact they haven`t really done a bad album but I would say the ones I`ve listed are maybe the strongest.

They still write brilliant songs, I just feel Phil Campbell`s leads (while a technically great player) don`t have the personality of Eddie Clarke`s, whose solos were like mini songs themselves.

I'd add 'We Are Motorhead' to that list.

I suggest you pick up "1916" if for no other reason, you get the tune R.A.M.O.N.E.S and "No Voices in the Sky"

BTW, is anyone heard the new Motorhead disc (Motorizer)

A coll disc, but nothing extraordinary but there's a great song called "In the thousand names of God", this song is one of the best stuff Lemmy ever released in his life!!!

I like it, but I like everything Motorhead does.

I laugh whenever I hear the lines...

Rock Out... With Your Cock Out
Impress your lady friends...

Aw yes!!! That song is really cool too, the second best off the album, they're playing both songs (Rock Out and ITNOG) in this tour....can't wait to see them next week!!!!

After 'Inferno', I thought that both 'Kiss of Death' and 'Motorizor' were a little anit-climatic. Solid, but not spectacular.

The lyrics/vocal lines on both felt remarkably under-polished.

Met him when I was 15 as well, at the final show for the original Motorhead line up in Toronto back in '81/'82. All 3 of them just finished up an interview out back of the C.N.E. Colosseum. Very cool.
Much Music featured a clip of my encounter with them on their 25 Best Metal Band of all Time broadcast. Quite the trip watching yourself @ 15 hangin with Motorhead. The concert was filmed and broadcast on TV...

I've met(Lemmy) a few times over the years. Down to Earth ,great guy.

You can find him @ The Rainbow Bar & Grill almost anytime he's not on tour. He lives a block away. How convienient! ...

Gonna have to pick up this dvd!

Yeah, I felt like that, too.

However, every album seems to throw up at least two absolutely amazing tracks.

Anyone who wants to dip their toe in the water should seek out the five CD "Stone Deaf Forever", which you can now pick up pretty cheap.

It`s an amazing overview of all their stuff up to "Hammered".

When I got it I hadn`t heard any of their stuff since "March or die" (because many of their albums were on obscure labels and hard to find, particularly "Bastards") and I couldn`t believe how good their recent stuff was.

IMO they went through a dip between 1987-92 but have been solidly good ever since.
