Time to kick out the jams, brothers and sisters!!

I discovered the Motor City Five 20 years ago at university, bought Kick Out the Jams and then Back in the USA, and, later, High Time.
Back in the USA is such an in-your-face, subversive rocket, 11 kickass, catchy tracks in 28 minutes, Shakin' Street, High School, the Little Richard and Chuck Berry covers on kerosene...
I remember I was first disappointed with the sound of Back in the USA, which I found way too clean... Then I listened to the lyrics, and eventually enjoyed the whole album.
The American Ruse, if I remember well, was written about Tyner's - or was it Fred Smith's? - not willing to do his military service. Their extreme-left involvement may sound really kitsch, but well, there's something respectable somehow in radicality, just as long as it isn't linked with criminal thoughts. Their speech may seem naive, but it's always ballsier than tedious submission.

I saw them live 20 miles away from my home here in the French Alps at an open-air festival in August 2007. The subversion had gone - except from the lyrics -, Rob Tyner really missed on vocals (Wayne Kramer, and for a while a guest, sang), it was like the "MC3" but it was a very cool gig. Wayne looked like he really felt like playing and singing.
They were announced as coming to Europe just for that concert, which was confirmed by checking out their site on myspace.

Punk bands sound "late" and almost insipid IMO as compared to late 60's/early 70's Detroit's MC5 and Stooges.

        Congratulations

While the bar patron savored a double martini, an attractive women sat down next to him. The bartender served her a glass of orange juice, and the man turned to her and said, "beijing escort is a special day. I'm celebrating.""I'm celebrating, too," she replied, clinking glasses with wedding photographer."What are you celebrating?" he asked."For years I've been trying to have a child," she answered, "Today my gynecologist told wedding photography I'm pregnant!""Congratulations," the wedding album said, lifting his glass."As it happens, I'm a chicken farmer, and for years all my hens were infertile. But today they're finally fertile." "How did it happen?""I switched cocks.""What a coincidence," beijing escort said, smiling.
