Keyes comes off as a complete tool in that debate, pushing all the neocon bullshit that even Republicans know were lies now, and some of us even knew THEN (i.e. fictional horseshit about "global terra networks")

I always admired Alan keys, as you should remember, and I do agree that he came across a bit odd in that debate, but he made some valid points as well...

Obama did very well. I was a bit suprised...

No, I disagree with you there. I admit 100% that we went into Iraq under false pretenses, and I bought into it as well as probably 80% or more of the american public. You may have yourself for a second or two, but you will never tell...

I don't know why they didn't just tell the truth, that Saddam played a part in the "global terra network." The public would have supported that just as much as the WMD bullshit...

Saddam had almost nothing to do with the "global terror network," and what terrorism he did support was secular, "Pan-Arab Nationalist." Not Islamacist...

Exactly Nick, Al-Qaeda was as much a threat to Saddam as they were to any leader in that area. Saddam was nowhere near extreme enough in his beliefs for their tastes. If anything Saddam would have been viewed as a Non-Believer.

In fact, Osama Bin Laden called Saddam "the Infidel Socialist", and probably laughed harder than anybody when Chimp invaded Iraq. (whether Osama was still on this world or in Hell by then)

I'm not justifying anything, nor do I have to. Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein absolutely fucking hated each other, and there's not a snowball's chance in Hell that they ever would have been working together. That's merely a statement of fact.

Former President Gore was robbed of his rightful term in office, and while nobody can say with 100% accuracy what he would have done in office, any honest person would admit that it would have been better than Chimpy and the BCE.

It's too early to evaluate President Obama's performance. He's done some things I like, and some I don't. Hopefully, by 2016, there will be a lot more good than bad on that list. Right now I'm more worried about the dozen or so spineless pussy fake "Democrats" in the Senate (including your own Senator Ms. Landrieu) who refuse to do what they were elected to do. But I don't want to hijack the thread, so I'll leave it there.

I can't get there from here..........there is no proof that he supported the terrorists that Bush claimed he did, hence no justification to invade his country. Now Saudi Arabia, totally funded and supported 80% of the terrorists that carried out 9/11, fact. Saddam would never fund these guys because it would of been a threat to his power, if anything he was against them.
