Jani Lane, lead vocalist and songwriter for the glam metal band Warrant, has been arrested for DUI, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

Los Angeles police say they were called to investigate a minor traffic collision at Topanga and Ventura Blvds. in the San Fernando Valley around 9:30pm Wednesday night.

Upon arrival, officers determined that one of the drivers, 45-year-old Jani Lane, was allegedly driving under the influence.

Lane was arrested and taken to LAPD’s Van Nuys Division where he was booked for a misdemeanor and is being held on $30,000 bail.

Poor Jani. Probably the only guy that wishes he was Brett Michaels. I wonder if he was just at or above the limit from a couple of drinks at dinner, or if he was shitfaced. The problem with the standard .08% being used across the board for everyone is that it doesn't take into consideration the individual. Have they eaten, tolerance levels, etc... That's why the field sobriety tests I think are better. Walking the line & touching your nose type stuff.
