I tried to find the original Fromholz recording, but to no avail...

I did find some good stuff from Fromholz, but this is the best Willie song ever in my opinion...

'Hello Walls' - one of the oddest and best tunes he ever wrote. Only seen him play once about 6 years ago with blues guitarist Tab Benoit and Willie held his own playing his beat-to-shit Martin against Tab's somewhat highly amplified ES-335. Apart from the crap he did with Ryan Adams I pretty much love the guy.

I met Willie Nelson once when I was a young lad. He lived down the street from us on Maui for a while. I was on my paper route and he was jogging - he stopped and introduced himself and I shook his hand. I remember thinking he was a pretty cool guy.

I was really surprised too... this was the early '80s though, so he was probably in better shape back then...

Keith recorded that song with the Stones in 1979 for the Emotional Rescue album, but it wasn't included, because he already had another ballad (All About You) ready to go. I posted that version in the Stones thread.
