I was doing some reading and found out that Hermann Rarebell and Francis Buchholz were out of the band during the recording of Love At First Sting. I didn't know that??
Although the usual band line-up is credited on 'Love At First Sting', both Rarebell and Buchholz were temporarily out of the band at the time of the album's recording, with drum and bass track provided by Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow) and Jimmy Bain (Dio, ex-Rainbow, Wild Horses), respectively.

Buchholz I believe got the boot in 1992 when it was found that he and one of the bands accountants were skimming funds from accounts. Not sure on that? Can anyone clearify? I do know the Scorpions don't talk with him at all -ever. It's funny how money makes you even more greedy?

Isn`t Buchholz in Uli John Roth`s band now?

He wasn`t at Wacken in 2006 when they jammed with Roth and Rarebell.

Strange when he was in the band for twenty years.

There must be some bad blood there.

The long version of Hey You was underrated. I like a couple of songs from the 70s and 80s but don't like any complete album.

Bill Wyman is a decent bass player and a seriously disturbed human being. I was actually happy he "retired" from the Stones after that whole "Mandy" thing. I don't make any excuses for him at all.

Looks like they are on a mini tour over in Germany & France right now (July/August 09).

They don`t play enough 70`s stuff these days.

Those were the most exciting Scorpions albums IMO.

Bring back "Polar nights", "Dark lady" and "Steamrock fever".

I really like the 70's albums as well. Uli Roth is why I learned to play guitar.
It amazes me how they still draw 50,000 all over Europe but here they have really fallen off. The last album Humanity was really good. They had a long stretch from Pure Instinct to Acoustica were it just wasn't my thing. The sound kept changing as so did the writing.
When I went to the Love at First Sting / Savage Amnt / Wind of Change shows, they were great. In my top 5 performers list easily.
They bring it every night.
