I haven't heard this stuff until now, it's the latest band of Justin Hawkins, the ex-singer of The Darkness.

I gotta say I loved the Darkness, and still do...but this is not as good. I also liked some of his Myspace stuff (a few years ago) better.

It's like he's still got it a bit...but he's trying a bit too hard, and doesn't have as good band behind him, like he did with his brother...

For me...
Stone Gods (Darkness w/o JH) - Great songs, average vocals with no X Factor
Hot Leg (JH w/o The Darkness) - Great vocals with the X Factor, shitty songs

Would anybody even care if they did reunite?

Oh I found it...Sesh said "it's hellish etc., ...the humour is gone, all that is left is the vocals"...well said.

I picked the album as an import, not sure it ever hit the US. I like it. I liked the Darkness and this sounds like where the second album should have gone. The first one was good, the second not so much. It took me several times listening to Hot Leg to get into it, now I think it rocks. It has all the humor and some, have you heard "Gay in the 80s?"

The Stone Gods suck. The vocals ruin that band. Justin has all the music and vocals, I think it still sounds like the Darkness.

I'd be quite happy with The Darkness reunion, even though I really like Stone Gods....but I was a little disapointed with Hot Leg, especially the production of their disc!!!
