    Unpleasant Thought for the Day

In just 5 years time they could do a remake of Back to the Future where they go back in time from now to the time of the first film.

In the original movie Marty goes back 30 years from 1985 to 1955.

The equivalent today would be him going back to 1979. He could stand in for the guitarist at the school dance playing Van Halen I covers and then astound the kids by breaking into a Jay Z cover...

Damn. We're getting old. Better than the alternative still.

In 5 years what would he do? Go back to 1985 and play some grunge? The guy side stage calls Kurt Blowbrain and holds up the phone? Or maybe he calls Eddie VH on the phone while Marty plays some crappy love songs about breakfast foods. "Eddie! This is the sound you've been looking for"!

2009... A year when we speculate the difference between generations and their fictional characters...

Actually, "The Wedding Singer" was. And a very accurate one, as well...

I certainly wanted to give Lea Thompson the third horn back then. It's the only reason I managed to watch that horrible "Howard the Duck" movie that came out around the same time.
